TRIGGER O/U GAME GUN MASTER ENGRAVED BY G. UBERTI. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 32683. Bbls. 28". Mfg. 1967. The SO-3EELL was the highest grade of standard guns offered at the time this gun was manufactured. This well preserved example has 28" monobloc barrels fitted with matted ventilated rib. Beretta nomenclature is on top of monobloc and 1967 Italian nitro proofs are on bottom. Coin finished low profile sidelock Beretta patent action features non-automatic safety ("S" inlaid in gold), gas vents, engine turned internals with gold plated pins, hand detachable locks & gold plated double triggers. Action is engraved with full coverage well cut and shaded attractive large flowing acanthus scroll with floral highlights. Bottom of action is engraved "Brevettato" "Italy" in forend iron mortise and maker's name and address is on banner across bottom of action. Blued top lever is gold inlaid with a sovereign's crown and thumbpiece is pierced in floral motif. Blued trigger guard has matching flowers and acanthus on bow, serial number is on tang. Engraver's signature "Uberti G." is on trigger plate. Straight grip buttstock of dark and dense intricately marbled and lightly stump figured European walnut measures 14 3/4" over thin "Silver" type pad. Closely spaced point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching slim field forend has Deeley type release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: B .725", T .724". Restriction: B .036" (FULL)T .015" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: B .040", T .036". STOCK: DAH: 2". DAC: 1 3/8". LOP: 14 3/4". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 7 lb. 7oz. CONDITION: exceptionally fine, barrels retaining over 95% original blue with some minor spotting and some assembly marks. Action retains nearly all of its coin finish with little evidence of light cleaning and some oil discoloration at rear of lockplates. Stocks retain nearly all of what appears to be their original oil finish with some minor marks. Checkering shows very little wear and is still light in color. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight. Top barrel ejector hangs up and fires late. Front lock pin will not turn completely into time. Gun has obviously seen little use and could use a good cleaning. (22-4511/MGM).
