Nicely carved on one side "J.B. TUBBS" / "CO A 10TH REGT". Only two J.B. Tubbs' are found in one database, one being John B. Tubbs of the 14th Texas light Artillery & J.B. Tubbs of the 6th Tennessee Cavalry. There is a James Tubbs who is listed as private in 10th Mississippi Cavalry, Company F, a little more research should be able to pinpoint this soldier.
