MODEL POCKET REVOLVERS.
1) Cal. 22 Short. S# 763. Bbl. 3 1/8" ribbed. 1st Model, 2nd variation, 7 shot cyl., marked on bbl. in engraved arc: “MANHATTAN FIREARMS / MANFG / CO / N.Y.”, scroll engraved bbl. housing & muzzle, silver plated frame, varnished burl walnut grips, sm. inset engraved brass oval escutcheon on grip strap. CONDITION: very good overall, no finish remains, gray iron patina overall w/ pinprick pitting. Good rifled bore. Cyl. does not lock when cocked. (01-19863/JS).
2) Cal. 22 Short. S# 6420. Bbl. 3 1/8" ribbed. 1st Model, 3rd variation, the only difference between these 2 variations is the shape of the hammer, more curved spur. CONDITION: fine overall, retaining 95% original silver plated frame & tiny traces of blue on bbl. in protected areas. In addition to the engraved bbl. housing & muzzle, the bottom of the grip frame is nicely engraved in a weave pattern. Mechanically fine w/ crisp rifled bore. (01-19864/JS). ANTIQUE. $1,000-1,500.
