1) Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 145940. Made in 1961 w/ 27 1/2" bbls. that have concave tapered top rib w/ sm. steel front bead & rib legend "AYA - AGUIRRE & ARANZABAL - MADE IN SPAIN" w/ gold inlaid "1" & sm. burst of scroll at breech end. Bbls. are of chopper lump construction & polished flats have SN & proof marks. Splinter forend checkered in 3 point pattern w/ engraved diamond escutcheon at center w/ fully engraved rose & scroll blued irons. Tip w/ gold inlaid "1" & forend has Anson type push button release w/ blued internals & engraved screw. Gun made w/ dbl. triggers(front trigger articulated), auto ejectors, non auto safety Hand detachable full sidelock action is beautifully engraved in near full coverage rose & scroll w/ gold inlaid cocking indicators. Bottom of action w/ rose & scroll & makers name in scroll framing. Rolled edge long tang trigger guard is scroll engraved on bow w/ SN at tang. Beaded fences are rose & scroll engraved as is top of action. Blued top lever w/ gold inlaid "1" & bursts of rose & scroll which extend to top tang w/ gold inlaid "S" in front of engraved & blued safety slide. Beautifully figured European walnut buttstock checkered in point pattern through the wrist w/ carved teardrops behind locks terminates w/ the original skip line checkered butt. Dimensions: right: .728", choke: .016"(Light mod. This spot is just ahead of beginning of chokes & bbls. were obviously struck this way for these to be very lightweight game guns). Left: .728", choke: .045". Minimum wall thickness: right: .026", left: .019". DAC: 1 1/2". DAH: 2 3/8". LOP: 14 5/8". 6 lbs., 11 oz. CONDITION: excellent as lightly field used. Bbls. retain nearly all of their original finish. Ribs ring well. Forearm is excellent & checkering is fine. There is a tiny beginning grain separation near forearm iron ending at checkering point. Coin finished action is excellent & engraving is nice & crisp. Buttstock is sound & retains nearly all of its original finish w/ only minor handling marks. There is a sm. knot in the wood at bottom of right lock which is sound & stable. Bores are bright & shiny. Mechanics are fine. Gun is tight & on face. There is a sm. repaired knot hole towards toe which may have been a sling swivel. (22-1134/JSL).

UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: housed in what appears to be its original brown leather 2 gun trunk motor case, initials "E.J.W" on top. Green felt interior & has brass fixtures. Keys are inside of case. Leather makers trade label on top of inside. Case exterior is excellent w/ only a few minor rubs. Interior very good w/ some losses to felt & minor staining. CONDITION: excellent as lightly field used. Bbls. retain nearly all of their factory original blue. Forearm checkering is crisp & wood is sound w/ some finish added for preservation. Action is fine & retains most of its bright coin finish w/ some light cleaning. Buttstock is sound & retains nearly all of its original finish w/ scattered minor handling marks. Right bore w/ a few scattered pits. Left bore mostly bright & shiny w/ some minor patches of pitting. Mechanics are crisp. Gun is tight & on face w/ lever well right of center. Both guns w/ matching highly figured European walnut stocks which are very beautiful, obviously made as a lightweight true pair of game guns. The bbls. never having been touched still in proof.
