MOUNTED SHEATH. 17” overall, 11.5” clip point blade, .25” thick, 3” tapered crossguard, slab light wood grips incase hide tang with brass strips on either side, 3 brass rivets secure blade through tang and finished flush into brass strips, very well-made grip. Blade is finely sculpted with 4” beveled false edge continued beveling another 3” on top edge. The sheath is leather body and has skeletal mounts like Shiveley for but in soldered tin. This is among the finest made Confederate bowies you will find. CONDITION: very good to fine overall, “as found”, couple nicks in cutting edge, hand worn patina to grip, sheath sound with craquelure, missing one edge of tin edging and sewn belt loop long gone too.
