FN 1900 .35 Rem #108
Vintage semiautomatic rifle, with less than 5000 manufactured in Belgium circa 1910-1929. The FN M1900 was basically the same rifle as the Remington model 8 with minor changes. Chambering not marked. Bore measures 35 cal, and historical sources indicate the FN version was only made in 35 Remington, but chambering needs gunsmith verification to provide certainty. Features blued finish, checkered walnut stocks with curved "Prince of Wales" type grip, high comb, 22" barrel, barrel jacket with raised solid matted rib, blade/bead front and notch rear sights (2 settings selectable by flipping the hinged rear sight), fixed 5 round magazine with last round hold open, side lever safety, sling swivels, FN marked composition buttplate. Bore is overall very good/bright, strong rifling, light frosting in the grooves. Blue is about 75% with handling/edge wear, scuffs/scratches. Wood is very good with minor dings/dents. The front top of the sighting rib has been braised to the barrel sleeve with brass. There is a small chip out of the lower buttplate. Belgian proofed.
Condition is NRA Good. C&R Firearm.
