Bbls. 27 1/2" w/ .480 wide "Broadway" type ventilated rib marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL BELGIQUE" on left & w/ ga., chamber, "Browning Pat" & "MADE IN BELGIUM" on right side of top bbl. Breech section marked for skeet & skeet chokes. Coin finished B25 type superposed action fitted w/ gold plated selective single trigger, engraved in usual "Coblence" style w/ sprays of scroll w/in line & geometric borders surrounding game scenes on sides. 2 Pheasant fly into open meadow on left & a pair of ducks flush into marsh on right. Pheasant scene is signed "R.Bee" (Rosa, daughter of Angelo). Long tang square knob buttstock of dark & dense stump figured European walnut measures 14 3/8" over hard rubber Browning embossed buttplate. Point pattern checkering w/ line borders at grip. Beavertail type target forend matches well. MEASUREMENTS: STOCK: LOP: 14 3/8" DAC: 1 7/16". DAH: 2 3/8". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 5 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: housed in "Nasco" aluminum case, lined in crushed red velvet which contains Kolar tube set for 20, 28 & 410 ga. housed in lid compartment. Bottom compartment contains Kolar paperwork regarding installation of tubes & registration certificate, hammer & nylon tool for installing & removing tubes, combination lock information holder & 2 keys. CONDITION: fine w/ evidence of considerable use. Bbls. w/ over 95% of what appears to be original blue. Action w/ some browning of lacquer on coin finish. Stocks w/ considerable number of light marks & scuffs in their original finish. Checkering lightly worn & darkened. Bores are very fine. Mechanically fine. Case is also fine. Interior cloth w/ some compressions. Tube set appears little used. This model was very popular in Europe & when they were produced in the early 80s retailed for about $2,200. (21-228/MGM).
