1) FRENCH MODEL 1873. Cal. 11mm. S# G48444. Bbl. 4.7" part rnd. part octagon. Mfg. 1873 by French armory at St. Etienne. Matching numbers on bbl., cyl., cyl. pivot, frame, trigger, hammer & trigger guard along w/ J44 on 3 screw heads & cyl. face. Approx. 350,000 mfg. 1873-1886. Unfinished metal & checkered walnut grips. Numerous French proofs. CONDITION: very good overall appearance w/ occasional spots of light staining. Beginning patina appearance on grip cap. Sm. spot of light oxidation on left front of bbl. Near excellent bore & chambers w/ unused appearance. Good traces of case colors on hammer & trigger w/out color on trigger face. Slight hand wear on grips w/ occasional sm. mark. Overall exceptional example. (01-18147/NW). ANTIQUE. 2) RUSSIAN MODEL 1895 NAGANT. Cal. 7.62 Nagant. S# 108584. Bbl. 3.45". Imperial Russian production at Tula Arsenal mfg. 1915 (1897-1917). Earlier production w/out letter prefix in S#. Matching numbered cyl. & trigger guard. Checkered walnut capped grip w/ lanyard loop. No import marks. CONDITION: fair overall appearance w/ traces of original finish mixed w/ finish loss & pitting; appears caused by chemicals. Peppery oxidation on areas not otherwise effected. Good hand worn grips. Missing section of loading gate spring; base & screw remaining. Fair bore w/ spots of pitting; distinct rifling. (20-2012/NW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
