MACHINE GUN ON BEAUTIFUL WOODEN CARRIAGE. Cal. 30 (30-06). S# 27009. Bbl. 28" finned. Blade front sight with hood. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2600yds. US Navy Marlin MKV Potato Digger machine gun. Bbl. has U.S.N & "JBS" inspector stamps with "2916" serial number. Receiver has standard Marlin markings with X'd out serial & "27009" underneath it. Varied markings have added highlight paint making markings standout. NFA registry lists mfr as Winchester. Blued finish. Hardwood grip panels. Mounted on beautiful wooden carriage. Wood wheels measure 43" tall w/ steel bands. Brass mount. Overall length of mount 62". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Aftermarket hardcase, wooden carriage, traditional ground tripod, canvas cover, 2 wooden ammo boxes, 3 cloth belts. CONDITION: refinished grip panels have added varnish with some dings & handling marks. Metal grip frame is a silvery-gray color with overall oxidation staining. Right side of receiver shows some discoloration above receiver possibly from rewat. Balance of metal retains 70% blue with scattered peppery oxidation, edge wear, handling marks & fading to gray. Both the carriage & ground mounts are in excellent condition. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Very good bore with strong rifling.
