Cal. 9mm. S# S-150. Bbl. 7.5". The STEN was the standard SMG of the British armed forces during WWII & remained in service until the late 1950s. A simple select-fire, open bolt, blowback operated design with a very slow cyclic rate, & few moving parts. It has unique silhouette and is easily recognizable due to its left side magazine placement, directly across from the ejection port. Selector is located in front of trigger, marked w/ “A” for full auto and an “R” for semiautomatic fire. This particular example was Mfg. by John Stemple. Loop stock. Uniform parkerized finish. Original style fixed front blade, dovetailed instead of welded, & rear peep sights. Serial number stamped on left side of trigger housing. Magazine well retains stamping "STEN MKII" on top, w/ an illegible number on opposite side. Bottom of trigger guard still bears the early British # "14889". Stock properly retains "J"-style cleaning rod. MAGS: 7 Steel 30rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: tan canvas mag pouch, The British Sten Manual by Frank Iannamico, Small Arms Identification Series 9mm Sten Machine Carbine by Ian Skennerton, & August 1942 dated illustrated identification list. CONDITION: uniform parkerized finish. Good bore w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT SMG REQUIRING BATF TRANSFER BEFORE TAKING POSSESSION. FULLY TRANSFERABLE. (03-1674/JZ). MODERN. $5,000-7,000.
