Factory Refinished Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector 1st Model Triple Lock Revolver, #11241, .44 Special cal., 5" pinned barrel, blue finish, replacement S&W checkered diamond center walnut two-piece grips with silver medallions, blade front and fixed U-notch rear sight (both with added orange paint), color case hardened hammer and trigger. The butt is marked with a factory rework star next to the serial number, and the left side of the grip frame is stamped with a completion date of "3.49". Frame and yoke with matching assembly numbers (9272). Barrel, cylinder, yoke lock and extractor are numbered to the gun. Number on the barrel is difficult to read but the last two digits are legible. Grips are numbered but do not match. Mfg'd 1913. Revolver is in fine overall condition, retaining approx. 95%-96% factory refinished blue with wear at the muzzle, leading edge wear on the cylinder, light edge wear to the frame, and a few small freckles of mild corrosion along the barrel and sideplate. Factory markings are clear. Hammer and trigger display muted color case hardened finish. Grips with some smoothing of the checkering and indentations on the bases. Action cycles smoothly and locks up securely. Bore is bright with very good, defined rifling but there are intermittent freckles of minor erosion near the breech. Est.: $1,400-$1,800. (C&R)
