Welcome to the Griffin & Howe Shooting Academy at Hudson Farm in Andover NJ.
As the oldest shooting school in the United States, they offer a wealth of experience and knowledge to shooters of all ability levels. The property consists of a 7,500 square foot gunsmith facility, 24,000 square foot showroom, and 4,000 acres, beautifully landscaped, with several ponds, lakes and a wide range of shooting facilities.
Firearm details - The Highlander Lite is our new lightweight version of Griffin & Howe’s state-of-the-art Highlander rifle; all the power and accuracy you need, in a lighter package. We’ve stripped the Highlander Lite down to the reliable basics, allowing you to own a fantastically high-quality rifle at a lower price point than the Highlander.
You choose the G&H Highlander Lite Rifle in Caliber and Optifade Pattern of your choice. Like the Highlander, the Highlander Lite is a lightweight precision long-range hunting rifle, but featuring a Proof Research Sendero Light match-grade stainless steel barrel and Defiance Machine Classic action. Weighing only 5lbs 10oz with short action or 6lbs with long action, the Highlander Lite is comparible even to some lightweight titanium action rifles.
The Highlander Lite has less bells and whistles than the Highlander, but still comes with a Negrini case, thread protector and adaptor for a Spartan Precision bipod. We recommend our Highlander rifle rings, build to complement the Highlander Lite’s Defiance Machine Classic action and offering a seamless fusion of form and function.
Upon taking delivery, we will also inform you of the specific ammunition used during accuracy testing. This should save you precious time and allow you to own a fantastically accurate rifle straight out of the case.
Training with The Griffin & Howe Academies for two shooters and overnight stays (based on 2 rooms) – includes All Firearm Rentals if needed along with cartridges and clays .
Day 1 - Dinner and overnight, with an early arrival in the day, we can provide lunch and will give a tour of gunsmithing/manufacturing, greenhouse, kennels and shooting grounds.
Day 2 - Breakfast, Half Day Rifle Instruction, Lunch, Half Day Shotgun Instruction, Dinner and Overnight.
Day 3 - Breakfast, Half Day Handgun Instruction, Lunch, Choice of Half Day Rifle or Shotgun Instruction, Dinner and Overnight.
Day 4 - Breakfast and Depart.
