Step into the world of the Maya and explore untouched rivers and jungles for a once in a lifetime experience. Tour the rainforest and awaken your senses to the sounds of exotic birds and wildlife. Fish the flats and remote jungle rivers for Snook, Permit, and Tarpon. Rope swing from trees along the Moho River, kayak in the jungle, or maybe visit the many Mayan ruins in the area. Take a 30-foot jump from a waterfall or learn the history of the cacao tree and its journey to chocolate on a cacao tour. Visit the small town of Punta Gorda on market day and see the vast array of local fruits, vegetables and fish. The lodge is remote, private, and totally off grid, using solar power to run all cabanas with a total occupancy of 20 people. We raise fresh crops, harvest local wild fruits, and even tend our own flocks of chicken and goats. Your cabanas are nested 16 feet above the ground and perched along the slow-moving Moho River. After you have enjoyed an evening gourmet meal prepared by our chef, fall asleep to the sounds of the howler monkeys and the sounds of the jungle. This and more awaits you. Type of adventure: jungle river fishing & jungle adventure excursions for 2 people. Cost of additional people: $1,850 in the same cabana; extra couples & cabanas: $5,995, kids 2-12: $100/day (this price only valid with donation). Number of guides 1x6. Number of days/nights: 8 days/7 nights. Trip is available during the months of January-June & November-December. and MUST be taken in 2024 or 2025. Trip cannot be taken in alternate years. Location of the trip Punta Gorda, Belize with arrival & departure from Belize City, Belize. Arrival & departure flights are NOT included in any Safari Unlimited adventure. Targeted species for fishing are Snook, Barracuda, Jacks, and Snappers.
Taxidermy & shipping are not included in this donation. Additional trip upgrades available: inshore ocean flats fishing - $750/boat/day. VIP Package - $750/couple and includes, welcome cocktails, couples’ chocolate massage, upgrade to Honeymoon Suite, sunset river cruise, 1-night private dinner on riverside cabana, 1 breakfast on your private balcony, private garden tour, Mayan cuisine culinary experience with our professional chef. Additional fees: Tropic Air puddle jump plane from Belize City - Punta Gorda at $350/person roundtrip.
