this lot features a collection of vintage winchester . 270 winchester centerfire rifle ammunition, consisting of a total of 89 rounds in a five original factory boxes. The . 270 winchester cartridge, introduced in 1925, quickly became one of america's most respected big game hunting calibers, prized for its flat trajectory, high velocity, and excellent performance on deer, antelope, and similar-sized game. Winchester's super-x line, particularly the silvertip and soft point offerings, became synonymous with dependable expansion and field performance throughout the mid-20th century. included in this lot are multiple period winchester boxes, including super-x lubaloy and silvertip packaging, representing classic commercial ammunition from the golden era of american sporting cartridges. The cartridges themselves include both 100 grain and 130 grain projectiles, with a mix of silvertip expanding bullets and standard jacketed hollow points. The boxes show typical storage and handling wear with edge wear, creasing, and minor discoloration, while the cartridges display a consistent aged patina with intact primers and clean case bodies. A few of the boxes have torn flaps. overall, this is a solid and visually appealing grouping of vintage winchester . 270 winchester ammunition, offering two bullet weights and classic super-x configurations. The assortment provides strong collector appeal due to the period packaging and variety, while also presenting well as a display lot of mid-century american sporting ammunition.
