Richard Childress and Dan Adler/Diamond Outfitters go back just over a decade, and this hunt is Dan’s way of standing with Richard and the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation—the organization that keeps hunters at the table in Washington, where the future of our sport is decided.
Description:
This is a five-day 1 x 1 trophy mountain lion hunt with hounds for one hunter—one of the hunts that built the Diamond Outfitters name.
Hunt dates are to be scheduled March – May, 2027 through 2030, giving the high bidder four seasons of flexibility.
Included:
• 1 x 1 guiding
• Meals (including non-alcoholic beverages and snacks)

• USFS and BLM permits (as needed)
• Mules or horses

Not Included:
• Hunting license ($160/per hunter)

Mountain lion tag is available over-the-counter and will be purchased upon arrival.
This hunt takes place from the saddle on gentle mules or horses behind some of the most successful mountain lion guides and houndsmen in the United States. When the hounds open on a big tom’s track, there is nothing else like it in North American hunting.
Details:
• Location: Hunters fly into Phoenix or Tucson. If driving, directions will be provided.
• Accommodations will be in heated canvas cabin tents, wall tents or trailers.
• An additional hunter may be added, contact outfitter for availability and dates. Non-hunters are welcome for $2,500. Hunt can be upgraded from October through February peak season dates for $2,500 per hunter.
Diamond Outfitters is one of the most trusted and most successful mountain lion outfitters in North America. Dozens and dozens of hunters have taken big toms behind these hounds, many of them the biggest cats of their lives. This hunt is in such high demand that buying one of their auction hunts is often the only way to get on their lion schedule!

CSF Terms and Conditions 2026 Convention
Any bid made at a CSF auction, whether in person at a live auction, by phone, or online, constitutes an unconditional offer to buy the item in question at the price bid. Unless a higher and subsequent bid is made, your bid creates a binding contract of purchase, obligates you to sign the bid ticket or, in the case of a phone or online bid, authorizes the person who took the bid to sign on your behalf AND requires that the bid amount be paid prior to the close of the auction. In the event that the successful bid was made by phone or online, the bid price must be received before the close of the sixth business day after the close of the auction. Payments can be made by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. If the winner of an auction refuses to pay the winning bid price plus any premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid. If the next highest bidder declines the item or if the second highest bidder is unknown, the CSF shall dispose of the item at our discretion.
ONLINE BIDDING/PERMIT BUYERS: A 6% buyer’s premium will be added to the final bid price of all lots (unless prohibited by statute). Proceeds will be dedicated to CSF Policy Conservation initiatives. If the winner of this item refuses to pay the premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid.
You will also be asked to provide the following information: Full Name, Email address, Address, Phone number, Credit card number, on which an AVS is completed (Address Verification System) All purchases over the amount of $50,000 will require a call back from CSF Auction Team for verification.
PAYING WITH CREDIT CARDS: PAYING BY CREDIT CARD WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL 3% ADMINISTRATION FEE If item does not get to reserve then the highest bidder will be offered the option to buy it at reserve price.
FIREARMS: Before taking possession of your purchased firearm, the gun must be registered in compliance with all federal, state, and local firearms laws. To meet this compliance, CSF will ship the firearm, at the expense of the purchaser, from our FFL dealer which is Cabela’s in Gainesville VA to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder of your choice after convention if the buyer is not present at the convention.
CSF AUCTION ITEM POLICY:
All goods in the live auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired or obtained from third parties. The purchaser acknowledges that the goods have not been inspected by CSF, and is advised, in the case of firearms, knives, bullets, or other weapons to obtain a competent inspection and test of the goods before use. The goods sold in the live auctions are sold ‘’AS IS” with all faults and defects, and without any express or implied warranty on the part of CSF. CSF provides no warranties of fitness and expressly disclaims the same. CSF does not accept any liability or responsibility for any product, design, or use. Any written warranties on the goods delivered to the high bidder are those solely of the manufactures, and/or their agents, and shall be the sole liability and responsibility of the manufacturer.
All services, hunts, or otherwise, in the live auctions and fund-raising areas have been acquired for and are to be furnished by third parties and contain the same reservation set forth under “goods” above. No services in the live auction are to be or will be performed by CSF. CSF shall bear no responsibilities for the delivery or quality of any of the services, or for any loss or damages arising from or related to or connected with the performance or non-performance of such services. The purchaser also acknowledges that in the event that services are purchased, CSF cannot be responsible for or liable for any political unrest or instability that may occur outside the United States. CSF cannot be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from. CSF reserves the right to add items to the auctions as additional donations become available. Only CSF exhibitors may solicit and/ or market to permit buyers.
PAYMENT/PICK-UP
Buyers who purchase items through the Online Hunting Auctions website will immediately be charged for their items on their registered credit cards. Buyers may contact Kris Langevin at (860) 965-3722 and make alternate arrangements for payment within 10 days prior to the online auction and within 6 days after the online auction concludes. Once this payment is received, the original credit card payment will be voided.
