Forehand & Wadsworth Model 1901 Double Action Cartridge Pocket Revolver, with holster, #8338, .32 CF cal., 3.25'' round tip-up barrel marked ''-Forehand Model 1901-'' over ''Hopkins & Allen Arms Co. Norwich, CT U.S.A.'' in two lines on top rib, 6-shot fluted cylinder, originally nickel-plated barrel, cylinder, frame and grip straps; blued triggerguard and case hardened hammer, two-piece finely checkered hard rubber grips with the ''F&W'' logo over a shield within a relief panel. Condition is excellent showing 95% original nickel having a bit of hazing to frame sides and a small patch missing on left, light pitting on underside of barrel and a buggered screw at barrel release lever; approx. 60% triggerguard blue, and 50% hammer case hardening colors. Grips are lovely showing sharp details and checkering and fit perfectly; barrel hinge is solid. Action is crisp in both single- and double action; bore is hazy with distinct rifling. Russet basketweave ''Mexican loop'' holster with leather leg thongs is in very good shape. A nice little F&W revolver that will greatly benefit with light cleaning. Est.: $250-$350. (C&R)
