The rear sight is a u-notch dovetailed and screw-set to the rear of the slide, adjustable for windage. grip/stock configuration & condition: the grips are two piece checkered wood panels. The backstrap is checkered. The panels show light handling wear and a few small pressure dings. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in very good plus condition. type of finish: bluedfinish originality: nonoriginal, there are spots of cold blue touch-upbore condition: the bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp with stubborn fouling. There is light erosion throughout the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 8/10. overall condition: this firearm retains about 70% of its nonoriginal metal finish. The finish shows edge wear, scratches, spots of cold blue, and light spots of pitting. The markings are clear and complete.
