Four Volume Set "History of the U.S." The volumes cover U.S. history starting with the discovery of the Americas in 1492 and running thru the Civil War. Fascinating recounting of our country’s major events from the perspective of a scholar from almost 150 years ago; all including highly finished steel engravings by many of the famous artists of the period.
