French Darne Model R SxS shotgun, 12 gauge 2 ½” chamber, Serial #15770. The shotgun is in very good overall condition showing a pleasing brown patina on the barrels with considerable original case coloring on thereceiver. The shotgun utilizes the unique Darne slide action patent with the breech sliding backward as released by the lever behind the recoil shield. The shotgun shows very good bores, crisp action and a good tovery good wood stock. The barrels appear to be choked Xtra –Full with extractors. Est.: $700-$1,400. (C+R).
