French “Ideal” swivel action SxS 16GA shotgun circa 1880’s to 1890’s. Measures 44 ½” overall with 29 ½” barrels. Unmarked with scroll engraved action. The stocks have been restored and lightly refinished. The metalshows 50%-60% old blue finish and most Damascus pattern on the barrels. A dent is visible on the right barrel about ½ way towards the muzzle. Bores a little rough but almost good. Slightly loose on the centerpin. Way over engineering and too complicated to be commercially viable. An oddity. (Antique) Est.: $800-$1600
