French Model 1892 Double Action Revolver, #G53342, 8mm French Ordnance cal., 4.6" barrel, blued finish, checkered hardwood grips, pinned blade front sight, fixed rear sight with "U"-notched groove, and swiveling lanyard ring on bottom of the grip frame. Top barrel flat is marked "MLE 1892". Right side of the frame is marked "Mre d' Armes/St Etienne. Cylinder is numbered but does not match. No visible import marks. Condition overall is good, retaining approx. 85% blue, with scattered frosted oxidation and patina throughout. There is an area of erosion on left side barrel at the muzzle. Grips show general age and wear, with a few deep bruises to the right side, and intermittent small putty repairs to the left side. Action functions smoothly. Rifling is very good but there are spots of light erosion scattered throughout the bore. Est.: $250-$400. (C&R)
