Join Game Trackers Africa for a 7-day Cape Buffalo Safari for one hunter in Tanzania – Selous Game Reserve! This 1x1 rifle hunt will take place on the Selous Game Reserve which is one of the largest faunal reserves of the world. The reserve covers a total area of 21,100 square miles and is located on the Kilombero River which hosts an abundance of wildlife including hippo, crocodile, and the elusive Puku. The general area varies from rolling hills, grassy woodlands, riverine brush and wide open plains with rocky outcrops separated by the Rufiji River. The Selous is also well known for its dense populations of Cape Buffalo. Additional hunters may be added for $1950/day, non-hunters for $350/day, and animal upgrades are available upon request. Accommodations consist of luxury A-Frame tents with an en-suite bathroom, central dining area where delicious meals are served accompanied by excellent South African wines. The campfire at night with your favorite thirst quencher will mesmerize you while the lions and hippos will take turns to entertain you with the magical African bush surround sound. This hunt must be taken between July 1-December 31, 2020 or 2021. Trophy fee for 1 Cape Buffalo and transportation during the hunt is included. Hunting license, conservation & concession fees, trophy export fees, dip & pack, rifle permit ($4,800), and air charter to/from the hunting area ($1,600-$6,600) depending on mode of transportation) are excluded. Our mission: Preserving the sport of hunting through education, conservation and the promotion of our hunting heritage.
Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve the sport of hunting through education, conservation and the promotion of our hunting heritage. Our members come from a diverse background and have a wide variety of hunting, fishing, outdoor and other interests. But they all have one thing in common-their passion for the outdoors, a love of hunting, a commitment to the responsible management of our national resources, the education of future generations and the responsibilities of being hunter-conservationists.
How do we effect change? HSCF has awarded 525 scholarships totaling $2.25 million dollars. We conduct youth outdoor education programs, career training, hunter education and field experiences throughout the year. HSCF has provided over $3.7 million in grants for hunter-funded conservation initiatives including research, habitat protection, species proliferation, wildlife management, water projects, urban sprawl projects, anti-poaching campaigns and other efforts.

Houston Safari Club (HSC) is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization dedicated to legislative and policy initiatives that may affect the future of hunting. HSC supports initiatives that protect the tradition of hunting and hunters’ rights. We take an active role in efforts to effect policy, protocols and legislation. HSC collaborates with legislators, key opinion leaders, policy groups, professional organizations and governments at home and abroad.
Live Auction Rules
§ When bidding from the floor, raise your hand high and, if necessary, stand to get the attention of the auctioneer or one of his spotters.
§ The auctioneer and his staff are responsible for the auction. Their rules must be followed explicitly. All decisions of the auctioneer will be final. Auctioneer and staff will decide any disputes regarding the bids during the live auction.
§ Asking questions ahead of time is encouraged. speak with the donor, visit their booth (if they are an exhibitor) and check their references. HSCF supports and promotes hunts and trips from donors who are members in good standing with their local and national hunting associations.
§ Some items, as components of donated hunts, may or may not be included unless specified. This may pertain to travel expenses to and from destination; hotel and meals before and after the hunt; alcoholic beverages; trophy dipping, packaging and shipping; gratuities and other items. Please review the details for each auction item.
§ Most hunt donations, unless otherwise specified, are for the 2019 season. All trips, unless otherwise specified, expire January 31, 2020. Special arrangements other than as set forth in the auction description are expressly between the donor and the auction winner.
§ Some non-hunt donations may require delivery and installation at your expense.
§ It is the bidder’s responsibility to read the HSCF Disclaimer of Liability for Goods & Services. By bidding on any auction item, whether in person or online, the bidder agrees that they have read, understand and agree to the HSCF Disclaimer of Liability.
