Jaco and Magdel Oosthuizen of Game Trackers Africa are excited to offer a 7-day, 1x1 cape buffalo and plains game rifle safari for one hunter in Tanzania's renowned Selous Game Reserve. This adventure promises an unforgettable hunting experience in Africa's most magical and expansive game reserve, with trophy fees for one cape buffalo included. This free-range hunt is available from July to December for either 2026 or 2027 and can be upgraded to include a second Cape buffalo for $8,300 as well as additional species at the current price list. Additional hunters and observers are welcome at standard rates. The hunt is conducted primarily on foot and by vehicle, with a focus on spot-and-stalk methods. The hunt package includes 1x1 guiding, field preparation, luxury A-frame safari-style tent accommodations, all meals, drinks, and daily laundry service. Not included: dip and pack services, transportation to the shipper, permit and license fees totaling $4,950, rifle import fees, additional species taken, gratuities, round-trip transfers between Dar es Salaam and the hunting concession by C208 air charter at $6,000, or accommodations before and after the hunt in Dar es Salaam, which is approximately $320 per night. To secure your hunt dates, a $3,000 deposit is required at booking. This deposit will be used towards government royalties, such as licenses, conservation/community fees, and trophy fees. Our members come from a diverse background and have a wide variety of hunting, fishing, outdoor and other interests. How do we effect change? HSCF has awarded 600 scholarships totaling $2.7 million dollars. We conduct youth outdoor education programs, career training, hunter education and field experiences throughout the year. HSCF has provided over $4 million in grants for hunter-funded conservation initiatives including research, habitat protection, species proliferation, wildlife management, water projects, urban sprawl projects, anti-poaching campaigns and other efforts. AUCTION RULES, TERMS & CONDITIONS
The following rules apply to all bidders participating in online bidding and must be followed unequivocally. All decisions of the auctioneer will be final. The auctioneer and HSCF staff will render decisions on any disputes regarding the bids during the auction.
HSCF supports and promotes hunts and trips from donors who are members in good standing with their local and national hunting associations.
Some items, as components of donated hunts, may or may not be included unless specified. This may pertain to travel expenses to and from destination; hotel and meals before and after the hunt; alcoholic beverages; trophy dipping, packaging and shipping; gratuities and other items. Please review the details for each auction item.
Most hunt donations have specified dates for which they may be taken. Special arrangements other than as set forth in the auction descriptions are expressly between the donor and the auction winner.
Some non-hunt donations may require delivery and installation at your expense.
The winner’s credit card on file will be charged the full amount for each winning bid. At the conclusion of the auction, the winner will receive an email acknowledgment and a paid invoice once payment has been processed.
In the event the winner's card is declined, HSCF will make one (1) attempt to contact the winner to obtain a new form of payment. If the bidder cannot be reached, HSCF may, in its sole and absolute discretion, may offer the item for resale.
HSCF online auction winners will be assessed a Buyer's Premium (5% or $250, whichever is less) on the total winning bid amount for each online purchase. The Buyer’s Premium will be included in the total charged for each item.
Online bidders agree to not interfere or disrupt the standard working function of any aspect of the online auction, via any device, software or other means.
If an active bidder is not satisfied with an aspect of the online auction, the bidder's only recourse is to discontinue use of the online auction system prior to the conclusion of bidding or the purchase of an item.
HSCF reserves the right, for any reason, in its sole discretion, to terminate, change or suspend any aspect of the online auction and/or to void any sale, temporarily suspend bidding, and offer any goods affected by any malfunction for resale.
All disputes regarding HSCF auction items purchased during this auction shall be submitted in writing to HSCF. All disputes and/or requests for refunds must detail and demonstrate proof of dispute. HSCF, at its sole discretion, may or may not approve a requested refund, based on the evidence and information provided. Credits or refunds will not be given, for any reason that is beyond the control of HSCF, if the auction winner is unable to utilize the purchased item with the time frame described in the auction description. Credits will not be provided by HSCF for any item for which the donor and buyer alter or vary the terms set forth for the item in the auction description as provided during this auction.
For any approved credits or refunds, which will be made at the sole discretion of HSCF and are final, the credit or refund will not exceed the amount allocated to HSCF for the specific item, in the case of items for proceeds are to be shared with any third party.
