Cal. 16 Ga., 2 9/16". S# 469. Bbls. 26 7/8" of Nitro proofed fluid steel. Rifle bbl. originally 9.3x72R & relined to 6.5mm using an unidentified proprietary case. Blade front sight w/ silver bead & selector operated U notch folding rear sight. Scalloped boxlock action w/ game scene engraving featuring deer on right & stag on left surrounded by vine type foliate engraving w/ punch dot backgrounds. Features include cocking indicators, Greener side safety, dbl. under lug & cross bolt locks w/ side clips. Extractors & dbl. triggers, front trigger is set. Schnabel tipped forearm & pistol grip cheekpiece walnut stock w/ fine hand checkering. Stock features fluted horn grip cap, case colored engraved cartridge trap in toe line & braided leather sling on European style swivels. LOP: 13 1/2" over replacement plastic buttplate. CONDITION: bbls. have caustic reblued finish leaving some areas w/ a bronze appearance. Bbls. show areas of light pitting & handling marks. Action retains 30% lightly visible case colors. Wood is sanded & refinished w/ checkering nicely recut. Stock has sm. cracks & chips around action & tangs. Trigger guard is a gunsmith produced replacement. Top lever requires unusually heavy pressure to open & close, left shotgun bbl. is not cocking or firing properly. Shotgun bores have generally bright appearance.
