REVOLVERS. 1) SAUER & SOHN MODEL 1879. Cal. 10.55mm. S# 1065. Bbl. 7 1/8" stepped w/ cannon flared muzzle. Mfg. 1881 w/ all parts matching numbered including screws & escutcheons. Butt has regimental marking of "30.A.1." at rear & "11." at front; various German proofs. Smooth walnut grips w/ matching numbered backs. Mfg. w/ browned finish. SA functioning plus safety lever on left side of frame. Lg. robust lanyard loop at butt. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: military style black holster w/ buckle & strap retention; underside of formed flap marked in a box "2BFARN30" over "1900 1912" over unreadable box info. Double narrow belt loops on back w/ top of front missing stitching. Separating stitching on corner of flap. Top middle of back marked "BITTGEN" over "KARLSRUHE". Good shape & typical leather cracking throughout. CONDITION: good general appearance w/ cleaned gray patina appearance having evidence of light prior pitting. Browning remaining in cyl. flutes. Good plus grips w/ hand wear & light marks. Cyl. pin latch has brazed tip & improperly indexes to allow free removal of pin rather than securing it. Fair to good bore w/ scattered cleaned pitting throughout having distinct rifling. (01-18043/NW). ANTIQUE. 2) RAST & GASSER MODEL 1898. Cal. 8mm. S# 024. Bbl. 4 5/8". Used by Austrian military from 1898-1938. Blued w/ strawed trigger & hammer. Matching numbered bbl., cyl. pivot head, cyl. & pivoting sideplate. Checkered walnut grip. Top rear of sideplate stamped "1" over "192". Above front of trigger, sideplate has 5 X's covering prior "RR1" over "35". 8 Rd. unfluted cyl. & frame mounted firing pin. CONDITION: very good general appearance w/ scattered peppery oxidation. Hand worn grips. Good bore w/ distinct rifling & scattered light pitting. (20-2153/NW). CURIO. $800-1,100.
