SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 6533i. Bbl. 4 7/8". P.38 semi-automatic pistol mfg. by Walther in 1942. Left side of the slide exhibits standard factory markings consisting of the model designation, Walther's mfg. code and the 2-digit year of mfg. "ac/ 42" and the S#, with x2 Walther Eagle/359 proofs and an eagle firing proof marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, with an older added layer of apparent black enamel paint. Frame is mounted with 2-piece aftermarket checkered wood grips. Standard dovetailed blade front sight and U-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching, to include the frame, slide, bbl., and locking block. MAGS: x1 blued steel Eagle/359 proofed 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster marked "jln/ 1943" (Deutsche Lederwerkstatten) oin the rear. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning that is fading to gray and brown patinas, with scattered spots and small patches of light to mild pitting. Balance of black enamel coat has worn / flaking away, with some scattered spots remaining. Very bright bore, exhibiting light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics, to include the safety / decocking lever. Grips show light wear and some superficial handling marks, but otherwise remain sound. (26-2745/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
