SXS GUILD GUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 25021. Bbls. 29 5/8" dovetailed w/ slightly raised matted game rib engraved w/ Krupp steel info on tops. Unmatted portion of ribs engraved "Manufactured in Liege, Belgium 1932 Grade Two". Breech ends of bbls. engraved w/ 1" triangles of good quality scroll. Bbl. flats stamped w/ 1932 vintage Belgian Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Case hardened boxlock action features automatic safety ("S" inlaid in gold), square crossbolt third fastener & dbl. triggers. Water table stamped w/ matching proofs, S# & "CORDY" patent info. Action is cleanly filed but unengraved except for some sprays of scroll on top & on fences. S# is on trigger guard bow. Nicely fiddle figured European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14 1/4" over serrated wood butt. Point pattern checkering is at grip & sling loop matching that attached to bottom of bbls. is on toeline. Matching splinter forend has Anson type release. MEASUREMENTS: BARRELS: bore diameter: right .724", left .725". Restriction: right .025" (MOD), left .025" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: right .034", left .030", STOCKS: LOP: 14 1/4". DAC: 1 1/2". DAH: 2 13/16". 1/4 Cast off. WEIGHT: 6 lbs., 9 oz. CONDITION: very fine, original. bbls. retaining over 90% original blue w/ some thinning at normal wear point & a few scattered light scratches. Action retains approx. 80% case hardening color thinning to silver on edges, bottom & fences. Stocks retain nearly all of what appears to be their original oil finish w/ a scattering of light marks. Checkering lightly worn. Bores are shiny. Action is tight. Trigger plate screw & 1 trigger guard screw have been correctly replaced. (21-1910/MGM). CURIO. $700-1,500.
