WITH SCOPE. Cal. 16 Ga., 2 3/4" / 7x65 R. S# 3129.67. The 25 5/8" demibloc bbls. are fitted w/ claw scope bases, flip up U-notch rear & silver bead front sights in full length matted rib. Center portion of rib engraved “JOSEF JUST – MATTERSBURG” has center portion cut away forming quarter rib & front sight ramp. Bbls. are stamped w/ 1967 Ferlach Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" 16 Ga. & 7x65 R. French gray, scallop backed, blitz dbl. Kirsten O/U action has tang safety, bushed strikers & dbl. triggers (front set). Action is engraved w/ sprays of shaded scroll surrounding well-rendered game scenes w/ a mincing stag on left side of action & a grazing roebuck on right. Bottom of action & floorplate depict a flushing pheasant. Blued trigger guard has scroll on bow. Capped pistol grip lightly fiddle figured European walnut buttstock measures 14" over ribbed plastic buttplate w/ whiteline spacer. Stock features shadowline righthand cheekpiece, chinstrap transition to grip & multi point pattern checkering & sling loop on toeline. Matching 1 piece forend has Deeley release. Combo is fitted w/ Kahles Helia-Super 6x scope w/ crosshair & 3 post reticle in soldered in claw mounts. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: .666". Restriction: .028" (IMOD). Min. Wall Thickness: .025". STOCK: DAH: 3 1/4". DAC: 1 3/8". LOP: CAST: approx. 1/2" off. WEIGHT WITHOUT SCOPE: 6 lb. 9 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black plastic case. CONDITION: good to fine. Bbls. retaining about 60% of what appears to be original blue w/ considerable high edge wear & thinning overall. Action retains most of its coin finish w/ some cleaning evident, engraving remains sharp & clear. Trigger guard retains most of its blue, considerably thinned on bow. Stocks retain most of their original oil finish w/ a plethora of minor marks and scratches, checkering somewhat worn, more so on forend. Bores are bright & shiny w/ a very slight bulge in shotgun bbl. about 10" behind muzzle. Rifle bore is also bright & shiny w/ some slight throat erosion. Action is tight. Mechanically fine. There are some minor stress cracks on side panels behind action & another stress crack to rear of left side panel toward safety. These cracks are old & appear to be stable. Scope retains most of its reblue on exterior. Many scratches in ocular bell. Optically clear. (22-4893/MGM). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
