The 23 5/8" demibloc bbls. are fitted w/ full length matted rib, center portion swamped forming quarter rib & front sight ramp. ERA type swing off bases are installed in quarter rib along w/ single standing leaf U-notch rear sight. Front sight is silver bead. Bottoms of bbls. are stamped w/ 1953 Ferlach Nitro proofs for 16 Ga. 2 3/4" & 7x57 JR rifle cartridge. Bottom right side of rifle bbl. is engraved “Josef Winkler – Ferlach”. Coin finished scallop backed, blitz, dbl. Kirsten O/U action features top tang safety, bushed strikers & dbl. triggers (front set). Action is engraved w/ sprays of well cut Germanic scroll surrounding semi relief game scenes w/ chamoix in meadow on left side of action & running roebuck on right. Bottom of action & front part of trigger plate is engraved w/ a fox slinking through weeds under lg. trees. Trigger guard has scroll on bow. Lightly figured European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14 3/8" over thin black “Decelerator” rifle pad. Stock features shadowline right hand cheekpiece, multipoint pattern checkering at grip & a sling loop. Matching 1 piece forend w/ engine turned iron has Deeley release. Shotgun bbl. is fitted w/ 5.6x52 R sm. cal. adapter by B. Fritz. Combo is equipped w/ Hertel & Reuss 2.5-10X 30mm scope w/ 3 post & crosshair reticle in ERA type swing off rings & 1 piece base.
