The 23 1/4" demibloc bbls. are fitted w/ full length matted rib, rear quarter rib is fitted w/ claw scope bases & 1 standing leaf rear sight. Gold bead front is in sm. matching ramp. Bottoms of bbls. are stamped w/ 1953 Ferlach Nitro proofs for 16 Ga. 2 1/2" & 7x57 R rifle cartridge. Coin finished dbl. arch back blitz dbl. Kirsten action w/ maker’s name on water table has tang safety, bushed strikers & dbl. triggers (front set). Action is engraved w/ sprays of scroll surrounding nicely detailed game scenes on sides w/ running stag on left & trotting wild boar on right. Action reinforce is attractively engraved w/ semi relief acanthus & scroll. Blued trigger guard has scroll on bow. Attractively streaked & lightly figured European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 13 7/8" over ribbed plastic buttplate and features shadowline cheekpiece, multi point pattern checkering & sling loop. Matching one piece forend has Deeley release. Combo is fitted w/ Kahles 4x scope w/ duplex reticle in soldered on claw mounts. There is no provision for windage adj. on scope or mounts, except for dovetailed front base. MEASUREMENTS: SHOTGUN BBL: Bore Diameter: .666". Restriction: .026" (IMOD). Min. Wall Thickness: .026". STOCK: DAH: approx. 3". DAC: 1 5/8". LOP: 13 7/8". CAST: approx. 1/2" off. WEIGHT WITHOUT SCOPE: 6 lb. 6 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: with black plastic case. CONDITION: very good to fine. Bbls. retaining most of what appears to be their original blue w/ some scattered handling marks & overall thinning. Action retains most of what appears to be its original coin finish w/ some cleaning mostly on bottom. Stocks retain most of an old oil refinish w/ numerous subsequent marks. Checkering is somewhat worn, considerably so on left side of forend. Shotgun bores are bright & shiny. Rifle bore is also fairly shiny w/ some light erosion at throat. Action is tight. There is a dovetailed repair to stock at bottom left cheek & a reinforcing bolt has been installed to prevent splitting w/ evidence of old repair on right side through grip. Scope retains most of its reblue after installation of mounts. Optically fine. (22-4912/MGM). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
