This Northeastern style tomahawk is pictured in "The Fur Trade", author Milton von Damm describes: "This tomahawk has a spike top and hoe shaped blade that is seven and one quarter inches high with a blade that is three and three quarters inches wide at the blade edge. The handle was made by Don Euing and the overall length of the tomahawk is seventeen inches. The head appears to have been made by a blacksmith. It is most likely from a Great Lakes area tribe and is a weapon, not a tool". CONDITION: very good. PROVENANCE: Don Euing; Lifelong Collection of author Milton von Damm. (02-22244/JS). $600-800.
