GROUP OF 5 FINE WW2 THEATER MADE FIGHTING KNIVES.
1) Impressive V-44 style 10" blade, 14.75" overall. Aluminum, black & red hard rubber washer stacked grip, lg. brass pommel, 3" arrow shaped cross guard, original leather sheath w/ note: “this knife was brought back from World War II by a veteran from Rinely, Penn, yard sale 1991”. CONDITION: knife is very good overall, sheath is sound & solid w/ scuffed & flaked surface. 2) “KABAR” marked MK-2 7” blade & cross guard w/ custom shop made stacked clear plastic washer grip & shaped aluminum pommel. CONDITION: good to very good overall in leather sheath. 3) Impressive & sturdy, very sharp 10" dagger point blade, 4.25" slight “S” shape tapered brass cross guard, stacked clear plastic washer grip, red, white, & black edge decoration, heavy brass pommel w/ lg. inset clear plastic cabochon. CONDITION: good overall. 4) Serviceman name: “Virgil B. Minturn” etched on 8.75" double-edged blade, 13.25" overall, heavy aluminum tapered block pommel, stacked black, brown, yellow & red washer grip. CONDITION: good to very good overall. 5) 15.25" overall, almost 10" scimitar shaped blade, 4" brass “S” shaped cross guard, stacked grip made from black, white, red & clear plastic washers. Screwed on heavy brass “L” shaped pommel. CONDITION: good to very good overall, stacked washers slightly askew due to loose pommel.
