Original WW2 issued items. Includes German WWII Officer's cavalry jodhpurs,or riding breeches (Reithose), used by mounted troops, reconnaissance units, and officers. Characterized by a loose, flared cut at the thighs and tight calves tucked into riding boots. High-quality officer-grade gabardine wool (twill weave). Lower legs have a three button closure. There are slash hip pockets, a watch pocket and a single rear pocket, five button fly, all of the buttons for the suspenders are in place, button cinch strap on the rear, interior features white heavy duty cloth pocket bags and waist reinforcement. All buttons are black & green bakelite. Any ink stamps in the interior have long faded as it shows heavy use but no damage or moth nips. All of buttons are there. The seat is reinforced. Also included is a officers M40 cap, BeVo M40 eagle/swastika insignia and the yellow inverted “V” soutache, indicating cavalry or reconnaissance units, the front scallop and top panel are piped in a silver officer’s bullion rank braid. Officer-grade gabardine wool. Like the above jodhpurs the exterior is very good but the interior is poor, showing heavy wear with sweat staining, a rip in the lining and just remnants of the leather band remaining. The condition matches on both.
