Gil Hibben Old West Bowie Knife And Sheath
This knife is an actual copy of a typical Bowie knife of the 1830s. The story of the Bowie began on a sandbar of the Mississippi River above Natchez, Mississippi on September 19, 1827. A brawl that eventually involved Col. James “Jim” Bowie, who, having been shot and stabbed, successfully defended himself killing Major Norris Wright and wounding Alfred Blanchard with what onlookers described as a “large butcher knife.” This and other tales of Bowie’s abilities with a knife led to the widespread popularity of what became known as the “Bowie” knife. 14” ov.

Knifemaker extraordinaire Gil Hibben continues to design exceptional knives made for hard everyday use and the Gil Hibben Old West Bowie Knife - Bloodwood Edition takes it even further!
