Giuseppe Carrizosa, the 2009 SCI Outstanding International Professional Hunter award winner, has donated a hunt for an Iberian red deer scoring up to 160 CIC inches in beautiful Spain to be taken in 2021 or 2022. You may elect to use the $4900 trophy fee toward a different animal or upgrade to a larger red deer. The CIC system calculates score differently than SCI however, the outfitter has indicated that the last 2 red deer that scored 160 CIC placed gold in SCI. The hunt will take place at El Castañar, this property has been owned by the family since the XVth century, and has hosted the Spanish Royal family hunts for generations. It's over 30,000 acres and even though, it's partly fenced, the fence is over 50 years old and broken in most parts, the deer can jump and easily go through. So, YES, this is a free-range hunt. Included in the donation is reception at Madrid’s Int’l airport, assistance with gun clearing and permit, all land transportation, full board with top class accommodations for 1 hunter for 4 days, professional hunter, and trophy fee for the one donated red deer. Additional days are available for $790 per day and non-hunters may come for $390 per day. Additional animals are available on a trophy fee basis. Contact outfitter for price list.
