Granite Springs Ranch Vacation Package. The vacation package is located at the SCIF AWLS Scholl in Jackson Wyoming. For years, chapter members who have sponsored dependents, teachers and educators to the AWLS program, upon seeing the facilities and scenic location have asked, “How about doing something for us – the members.” THIS IS YOUR CHANCE… A limited number of cabins at the school are made available for summer 2021 between June 7 and July 31. Located adjacent to Granite Creek in the Gros Ventre Wilderness Area, within the Bridger-Teton National Forest, this package includes a cabin for 3 nights and includes 9 meals for two persons.
Arrangements can be made by the buyer to extend the package for additional days. The buyer needs to contact the Education Department to confirm availability of the days and to place a reservation. The winner is welcome to bring snacks and drinks. A commercial type refrigerator for guests is located in the lodge. Can I bring my dog or cat? NO. The presence of additional domestic pets greatly reduces the frequency of sighting wildlife within the school property and creates potential territorial conflicts with wildlife and pets belonging to year-round employees living at the school. In addition to fishing opportunities in Granite Creek, a few miles downstream is the Hoback River which joins the Snake River at Hoback Junction. There is fantastic hiking to some of the state’s pristine alpine lakes or just spend a relaxing half hour or so soaking in the Granite Hot Springs, 2 miles north of the AWLS school. Surrounded by the beauty of the Gros Ventre Wilderness area within Bridger-Teton National Forest, the AWLS site at 7,000 feet elevation is only 33 miles southeast of Jackson, Wyoming. Jackson, rich in frontier history still enjoys a western home town flavor with biweekly rodeos, numerous wildlife art galleries, fine restaurants, trail rides and both scenic and white-water raft trips on the Snake River. The location is an ideal vacation hub for visiting either Teton or Yellowstone National Park.
