Compact, break-top, double-action "Bicycle" revolver with 2' ribbed barrel. Manufactured 1894-1905. Popular during the late-1890s bicycle craze when cyclists sought lightweight personal defense against stray dogs or highwaymen. No caliber markings stamped on the left side of the barrel, indicating it is First Model meant only for black powder. Auto ejector. Barrel rib marked "H&R Arms Co. Worcester, Mass." (Harrington & Richardson). Nickel finish, blue triggerguard and case colored hammer & trigger. Black checkered hard rubber grips with "Target" motifs. Bore is very good/bright, strong rifling, has a very small. light patch if pitting, nickel finish is all there with light scratches, finish loss & wear on the triggerguard and traces of case color on the trigger & hammer, grips are very good with a couple of light dents. action is crisp, barrel locks-up tight. Serial number is under the left grip panel, scratched on the inside of both grips, and partial number of "603" on the cylinder face and ejector star.
