EJECTOR GAME GUN WITH CASE. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 29767. (1949). Bbls. 28" Chopper lump w/ slightly raised game rib engraved "Holland & Holland" & "98 New Bond Street, London." on tops. Bbl. flats are stamped w/ London nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers & "CHOKE". Casehardened square backed sidelock action features non automatic safety (SAFE inlaid in gold), hidden third fastener, gas vents & dbl. triggers. Action engraved w/ 70% coverage nicely cut medium shaded scroll. "Holland & Holland" is on each lockplate. Bottom of action engraved "Holland's Ejector". Blued top lever and trigger guard are also scroll engraved. Serial number on trigger guard tang. Relatively plain American walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 5/8" over black leather covered pad. Stock features fluted drop points & fairly coarse point pattern checkering which wraps around bottom of grip. A vacant silver oval is on toeline. Matching long schnabeled beavertail ejector forend has Anson release. Bore diameters: left - .729, restriction: .038 (full), right - .729, restriction: .021 (Mod). Minimum wall thickness: left - .030, right - .034. DAH: 2 5/16". DAC: 1 1/2". Cast about 1/2" off. WEIGHT: 7 lbs. 2 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in relatively new gold canvas tan leather trimmed case lined in purple cloth. A reproduction H&H label is in lid. Case contains H&H marked pair of snap caps, square oil bottle & 2 piece cleaning rod. Also included; A Holland & Holland Factory letter. CONDITION: good, as refurbished. Bbls. have what appears to be original blue but may be an older "best" reblue. Action is nearly all silver to gray w/ traces of color where protected. Newer stocks by a fairly accomplished craftsman retain most of their oil finish w/ numerous light marks & scratches. Top lever & trigger guard reblued and retain nearly all of that blue. Checkering slightly worn. Bores are very fine, shiny. Action is tight. Bbls. are on face. Ejectors are strong & in time. Case is fine. Interior has rubs. Snap caps & oil bottle are heavily scratched.
