EJECTOR SINGLE TRIGGER GAME GUN IMPORTED BY CALIFORNIA ARMS CO. Cal. 410 Ga., 3". S# 41644 (on barrel). This unusual small bore well made bore gun has 28" demi-bloc barrels fitted with matted ventilated rib. Top of rib is engraved "Calif. Arms Co. Los Angeles - Made in Austria". Bottom barrel is stamped with 1957 Ferlach nitro proofs, S# and maker's code "55" (Herbert Schering). Small size, French gray, O/U blitz action with scalloped back; features non automatic safety, double Kirsten locking system, bushed strikers and single selective trigger, with selector in safety button. Action is engraved with about 80% well cut shaded scroll surrounding game scenes on sides. A trio of ducks are cavorting in a marsh on left side and a pair of pheasant are feeding in cut over woodlands on right. Top lever and trigger guard engraved with matching scroll, are blued. Attractive Monte Carlo horn capped pistol grip buttstock is of lightly crotch figured and dark marbled European walnut and measures 14" over checkered wood butt. Closely spaced multi point pattern checkering with board flat cut front borders is at grip. Matching three piece ejector forend has Deeley release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter at muzzles: B .388" (full?). T .388" (full?). Wall thickness: B .020". T .035". STOCK: DAH: 2 7/8". Drop at rear of Monte Carlo 2 1/8". DAC: 1 1/2". CAST: approx. 1/2" off. LOP: 14". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 2 oz. CONDITION: fine. Barrels retaining approx. 90-95% original blue. There is some discoloration and freckling on action which shows cleaning at bottom left side. Stocks retain about 90% original finish with a large amount of marks and scratches. Bores are bright and shiny, action is tight, ejectors are in time, mechanical single trigger appears to work well. (22-5632/MGM). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
