GRADE SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 204817. The 28" bbls. are marked w/ Parker Bros. Meriden address & "TROJAN STEEL" on matted rib w/ extension. All correct markings are on watertable & rear lump is stamped "20" & "0" (frame size). Sm. size Trojan grade action has all correct markings on watertable & features automatic safety & dbl. triggers. "Parker Bros." is on each side. Pistol grip stock of rather plain American walnut measures 14" over ribbed composition buttplate. Widely spaced point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter forend has friction release. MEASUREMENTS: bbls.: bore diameter: right: .617", left: .617". Restriction: right: .017" (MOD), left: .022" (MOD). Minimum Wall Thickness: right: .032", left: .027". STOCK: DAH: 2 7/8". DAC: 1 3/4". LOP: 14". CAST: 0. WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 7 oz. CONDITION: very fine original, essentially as found. Bbls. retaining better than 95% original blue w/ a hint of sharp edge wear. Action retains approx. 75% case hardening color most lost due to handwear around bottom & w/ some flecking & splotching w/ cleaned areas on top of action & top lever. Stocks retain over 90% of their original varnish finish w/ a considerable number of minor marks & scratches & some fairly heavy dings on left side of forend. Bores are bright & shiny w/ no noted repairs. Mechanically fine. (21-3965/MGM). CURIO. $3,000-5,000.
