TRIGGER EJECTOR DOUBLE SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga. 2 3/4". S# FWE61620. The 28" bbls. with matted concave rib have L.C. Smith & Hunter Arms markings on tops. Bbl. flats are stamped with serial number; bottom of bbls.; "ARMOR STEEL". Typical action is casehardened and is marked "L.C. SMITH." on each lockplate. Trigger plate is marked "HUNTER ONE TRIGGER". Blued trigger guard is unmarked. Capped pistol grip buttstock of plain American walnut, measures 13 3/4" over old Silver type pad. Matching splinter ejector forend has usual release with secondary knurled button in guitar shaped escutcheon. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS.: Bore Diameter: R: .727", L: .731". Restrictions: R: .024" (MOD), L: .038" (FULL). Minimum Wall Thickness: R: .041", L: .038". STOCK: DAH: 2 3/4". DAC: 1 3/4+". CAST: neutral. LOP: 13 3/4". WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 15 oz. CONDITION: very fine. Bbls. retaining approx. 90% original blue with scattered marks & sharp edge wear. Action retains nearly all of its casehardening color; silvered on sharp edges with some minor marks. Trigger guard and forend escutcheon retain nearly all of their original blue. Stocks retain over 90% original varnish with some lifting & crazing on buttstock with a few scattered marks & dings. There is evidence of finish loss around butt with installation of newer pad. Bores are bright & shiny. Action is tight. Ejectors are slight out of time. Trigger appears to work well. Grip cap has turned brown. There is a long crack behind escutcheon and on right side near forend iron. Mounting screw is not fully engaged. (22-970/MGM). CURIO. $1,200-1,800.
