HAMMER GUN. Cal. 10 Ga. S# 41491. The 30" Damascus bbls. are marked w/ Parker Bros. name & address & "DAMASCUS STEEL" on concave matted rib w/ doll's head extension. Bbl. flats are stamped w/ patent dates & other correct markings. Bottom of rear lump is stamped 3 (frame size). Case hardened top lever action has radiused breakoff, reinforcing beads, & check hook. Front spring locks have rebounding hammers. Action & locks are engraved in usual grade 2 style w/ sprays of scroll within line & geomtric borders as counterpoint to simple game scenes w/ pair of feeding grouse (?) on left lockplate, flying ducks on right, & a running pheasant on bottom of action. "PARKER BROS." is on each lockplate. Case hardened trigger guard w/ scroll on bow has serial number on tang. Capped pistol grip buttstock of well figured American walnut measures 14 3/8" over Parker dog's head buttplate w/ spur. 3 Point pattern borderless checkering is at grip & a vacant German silver shield is at top of grip. Matching splinter forend w/steel tip has usual Parker release w/ patent date on latch. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .793", L .793". Restriction: R .026" (MOD), L .026" (MOD). Min. Wall Thickness: R .049", L .049". STOCK: DAH: 3 1/8". DAC: 1 15/16". LOP: 14 3/8". CAST: Neutral. WEIGHT: 9 lb. 13 oz. CONDITION: fine as partially refinished. Bbls. retaining nearly all of a good quality black & white refinish w/ good definition to pattern. Action retains approx. 30% original case hardening color. Locks & hammers retain over 80% original color. Stocks retain most of their original varnish w/ considerable thinning on buttstock from possible cleaning. Checkering is lightly worn.
