PHE SHOTGUN ON 1 1/2 FRAME WITH PARKER STEEL BARRELS. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 5/8". S# 213792. Bbl. 28". The Parker Story indicates that only 285 PH guns were made w/ 28" Parker Steel bbls. All correct markings are on standard, concave matted rib, bbl. flats & lumps. The 1 1/2 frame marking is very lightly struck. Case hardened action features automatic safety & blued dbl. triggers. Water table is also correctly marked. Action engraved w/ line & geometric borders along w/ some flashes of scroll in usual "P" style. Blued trigger guard has geometric engraving on edges of bow & S# on tang. Parker capped pistol grip buttstock of attractively stump figured American walnut, measures 14 1/4" over Parker dog’s head buttplate w/ spur. Standard point pattern checkering is at grip. German silver shield is on toeline. Matching splinter ejector forend w/ usual latch & steel tip has ejector patent date on iron which is stamped over by S#. DIMENSIONS: bore dia. left .731, right .730. Restrictions: left .027 (I Mod), right .004 (IC). Min. Wall Thickness: left .030, right .030. DAH 2 1/2". DAC 1 1/2"+. LOP 14 1/4". Cast 0. WEIGHT: 7 lbs. 5oz. CONDITION: exceptionally fine, collector grade original. Bbls. retaining over 95% original blue w/ a few minor marks. Damascening on breech ends still strong. Action retains 95% original case hardening color w/ slight silvering on high edges & tip of top tang, there is some freckling on left side & a few scattered marks. Trigger guard retains over 90% of its original dark blue w/ some discoloration on bow. Forend latch & tip retain most original grayish color hardening. Stocks retain over 95% original finish w/ the usual scattering of minor marks & a 25 cent piece area of loss as well as light chipping on top right side of butt along w/ a few scratches on right side panel. Bores are very fine, bright & shiny w/ no visible imperfections. Screws appear to be unturned. Gun matches all specification in serialization ledger. A great gun in great condition, a Benchmark Parker. (21-278/MGM). MODERN. $8,000-10,000.
