HIGH STANDARD MODEL TEN SERIES B POLICE SHOTGUN

Cal. 12ga S#023197 Bbl. 18" An excellent example of one of the earliest versions of the current evolution of combat shotguns. The High Standard Model 10 was light years ahead of others given the popularity that such scatter guns have today, a true bullpup design where the shoulder piece is actually incorporated directly into the rear of the receiver. Encased in a black Cycolac shroud w/ a forward pistol grip & metal shoulder pad, it allows a compact overall length of only 28”, while still retaining that important 18” bbl. length. These have been out of production for years. Semi-auto, tube fed w/ right-side, reciprocating charging handle. While extremely compact, it is only for a right handed shooter due to the ejection port placement which is even w/ the cheek of the operator. Front & rear sling swivels, cross slide safety in front of trigger & still retains the factory sights, consisting of a folding front blade & crude rear notch. To the left side of the rear sight is a D-Cell flashlight, which used to succumb to the forces of recoil fairly regularly. Stock is checkered in front of the pistol grip & the rear of the pistol grip itself has a factory stippled finish. Right side receiver markings include the S# & the wise statement “CAUTION- DO NOT SHOOT FROM LEFT SHOULDER”. Stock markings in front of action include “MODEL TEN / SERIES B / POLICE SHOTGUN”. These shotguns are only intended to utilize high brass 2 3/4” of magnum velocity. Making this particular one even more interesting is the finish, which appears to be electroless nickel. CONDITION: overall condition both internal & external is nice. The stock illustrates normal impressions & appears to retain complete structural integrity. The flashlight mount is loose and is cracked though still retains the light. Carry handle is absent. The bore is mirror shiny. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (22-3294/JZ). MODERN $300-500
