SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga. S# 111043. Bbl. 27-2/4’’ 2/ hand matted concave rib & red fiber optic front sight. 7 pin sidelock action with double under lug and third bite fastener. Features include gold bar cocking indicators, ejectors and double triggers, front trigger is hinged. Highly detailed engraving featuring deep relief scenes with stippled backgrounds. Balance of action has vine type foliate scroll that extends to forearm iron and breech end of bbls. Scenes on right lock show a hound and pheasant with hounds and red stag. Left lock plate shows a pointing hound with hounds and a wild boar. Floorplate shows a stag and heine. Trigger guard has a dog retrieving a duck. Bolsters have flying ducks. Ornate pierced top lever depicts a running rabbit. Splinter forearm with Anson release and straight hand stock of fancy European walnut. Features include fine point pattern hand checkering, tear drop points & sling swivels. LOP: altered to 14-3/8’’ over a thick black foam aftermarket pad. DAC: 1-1/4’’. DAH: 2’’. Stock has approx. 1/4’’ cast on. Bore diameter: RT .728, LT .727. Choke constriction: RT .025, LT .037. Minimum wall thickness: RT .035, LT .032. WEIGHT: 7 lbs, 3 ozs. Mfg. in Eibar, Spain prior to 1927. CONDITION: bbls. retain 70% dull lightly faded blue showing spots of freckling. Forcing cones and chambers are open to 3’’. Action is acquiring a light tarnish and has strong engraving. Refinished wood shows checkering wear. Action is tight, top lever sits at center. Bores show scattered spots of very light pitting.
