Harpers Ferry Model 1805 flintlock pistol period converted to percussion with lock period replaced possibly by southern armorer for Civil War use by Confederate forces. Antiquated and unserviceable arms remained in armories at the outbreak of the Civil War and were ordered to be placed into service utilizing commercial and all available parts on hand. Good proofs on the barrel and lock. The nipple is beaten down from much use. Thestocks are very good plus except a small hole and circle behind top lock plate screw we theorize was for a belt hook. The mounts are polished and guard is dented. The wood ramrod has lost its tip. For the 1805 collectorwith knowledge to realize it’s unlikely to find and “Unrestored” martial like this pistol due to the value of re-conversion. S/N with good barrel proofs. (Antique) Est.: $1000-$2000
