Here is your chance to help landowners in Texas eliminate a profoundly serious nuisance animal, the feral hog. Join Helibacon on an incredible experience eliminating a pest that causes millions of dollars of damages for Texas farmers. This hunt is for two shooters for two hours of fly time. The safety course usually starts at 6 pm on the evening before your scheduled hunt date. The safety course is typically held at the HeliBacon Flight Operations Facility at Coulter Airfield, which is located at 6120 TX-21 Bryan, TX 77808. https://www.bryantx.gov/coulterairfield/
On the morning of the hunt, all passengers will meet at their facility, 30 minutes before official sunrise. Exact time to meet will be determined the previous evening during safety training. Shooters will fly and/or drive to the day’s hunt location from the airport. Hunts are normally flown in one-hour rotations, in order to keep the aircraft light on fuel for performance purposes. There is a maximum seat weight limit on the R66 helicopter of 300 lbs. per
individual, though aircraft performance, including weather and temperature conditions, will dictate the maximum allowable combined weight for each pair of hunters. This is something we cannot control because it is an FAA requirement for the aircraft, as well as a manufacturers safety requirement. Not included are lodging, meals, transportation (airfare to Texas), license and gratuities. You can really make the folks at Helibacon happy if you upgrade your fly time or upgrade to full-auto firearms to shoot a full-auto M16 from the helicopter. The full-auto package is $395 per shooter and includes the full-auto AR-15 gun rental and unlimited ammunition.
