Serial #11179. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 24” octagon barrel. The barrel has gone almost entirely to a grey patina with some blue still visible in the protected areas, specifically under the rear sight and just in front of the receiver and at the muzzle. The edges remain sharp with clear barrel address and patent marks. The brass receiver has a light patina with small mars. The hammer and lever show old, muted case hardening with some knackering at the base of the elevator. The smooth wood butt stock is in very good condition with small mars and compressions consistent with use and carry. The buttstock ends with a smooth brass butt plate with trap. The sling swivels are both present. The bore is good, the action crisp and markings are sharp on this most desirable Henry. (Antique). Est.: $12,500-$25,000.
