Hopkins & Allen ''Blue Jacket No. 2'' Spurtrigger Revolver, with box of cartridges, #4793, .32 Short RF cal., 2.675'' round barrel with blade front sight is unmarked; fluted 5-shot round cylinder is marked ''4793'' on front face between chambers; solid frame has raised sighting notch at rear of topstrap marked ''Hopkins & Allen Mfg. Co./Blue Jacket No. 2/Pat. Mar. 28, 1871'', removable cylinder pin/extractor rod and spring-release at front, central hammer, integral spurtrigger sheath and ''bird's head'' gripstraps, two-piece mother-of-pearl grips. Mfg'd ca. 1870s-1900s, originally in full nickel-plate with case hardened hammer and trigger. Condition is fine retaining approx. 50% nickel (difficult to discern where missing, as colors match closely), otherwise bright metal and light case colors. Grips are excellent showing brilliant luster and perfect fit. Action is crisp; bore shines with very light frosting and fine rifling. Full box of clean Western .32 Short RF cartridges shows bright printing, minor wear, with one missing end flap. Est.: $200-$350. (C&R)
