SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9x19mm Parabellum. S# 7062a. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger mfg. by DWM during World War I for the Imperial German military. Top of bbl. extension is marked "1917", with DWM arsenal proofs stamped on the right. Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece aftermarket checkered wood grips. Frame's stock lug has been ground and polished. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the grips and WWII era production aluminum bottom mag. MAGS: 1 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting scattered areas of mild pitting, wear, and thinning overall. Grip straps exhibit wear that shows through to a gray patina. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting and a few spots of deeper darker pitting, while retaining good rifling throughout. Grips exhibit some smoothing, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (24-1862/MLW). CURIO. $800-1,400.
